Arden’s MSc Global Health Management will equip you with the technical, managerial and leadership skills needed to work in health management from a global perspective. Examining today’s most pressing healthcare management issues which transcend national boundaries, the course places emphasis on providing you with the latest skills in digital literacy and data analysis at use in global health management in the prevention of disease in global populations and the promotion of health and health equity among nations.
Contemporary in its structure and with a delivery method that you’ll find highly flexible, the course has been developed in close collaboration with leading public health employers and industry advisory groups. You’ll be exposed to a number of innovative teaching approaches and assessment methods which have been brought together to support the development of your knowledge and abilities in global health management, helping you graduate with the specialised skills necessary for a successful career in the global health sector.
This global health management master’s course also prepares you for the digital and data driven world of modern global health management. You’ll also explore and become proficient in a wide range of digital technologies such as SPSS, NVIVO, Stata, Gorilla, and more. This gives you the opportunity to learn about virtual simulations and technologies used to predict, model, and plan for future infectious and non-infectious disease outbreaks on a global scale, as well as how to respond to real life challenges that may arise in your future career as a global healthcare manager or leader.
You will study seven core modules and choose one optional ‘elective’ module from a possible four options. This gives you the opportunity to adapt your course syllabus to match your career interests and support your future employability prospects.
Given the quantitative nature of some modules on the MSc Global Health Management, an introductory mathematics and statistics module is available to students who need extra support with their numeracy skills at the beginning of the course. Please make an enquiry for more details.
Delivering my face-to-face care to my patients with the knowledge of what I have actually learnt recently helps me a lot to be more confident.
The aim of the assessments you will undertake is to encourage you to confidently apply the knowledge and skills gained in each module in the context of a ‘real world’ global health practice scenario. The following assessment types are used at various stages of the course:
Additionally, the MSc Global Health Management culminates with the submission of an Industry-based Project, which should bring together the knowledge, skills, and attributes you have gained across all of your course modules. This project is an independent piece of work focused on a current theme in global health practice, which will help you look deeper into your current or future work interests. If you are already working in the health management sector, you will be encouraged to identify a situation that is ‘live’ in your current workplace and work through it in a simulated environment with the support of our academic team.
