What is Blended Learning?

It’s essentially the best of both worlds: a flexible mix of online Distance Learning, combined with face-to-face teaching in one of our UK study centres.

Blended Learning at Arden University is ideal if you want an element of more traditional lectures, but need the flexibility of learning online wherever and whenever suits you and your schedule.

When you're at your chosen study centre you can interact with both your fellow students and your course tutors. Outside of classes, you can then make full use of Arden's 24-hour virtual classroom, iLearn to progress your learning whenever and wherever you can.

If you have a burning question during your online study periods, you don’t need to wait until you are in class to get some help – you will still have access to your tutors and our support team by email and phone.

This new way of learning works around you. You can work, look after your family or let your social life flourish, without missing out on the Higher Education you crave.

When can I study?

Requiring just 8 hours of classes a week at your chosen UK study centre, courses are scheduled as follows:

  • Weekdays*: 2 days per week, 4 hours per day (either 9.00–13.00 or 13.30-17.30)
  • Evenings**: 2 evenings per week 17.30–21.30
  • Weekends**: Saturdays

In addition to the 8 hours of face-to-face teaching each week, you will have an additional 12 hours online tuition.

This is perfect if you want more guided learning but need the flexibility to study around work, family or other commitments.

*hours will be allocated by Arden
**subject to numbers
